Digimon Tamers has been hurting in the typesetting department for a while now. To help get the ball rolling on this one, we need another competent typesetter to join our crew.
Typesetter Requirements: * Advanced Substation Alpha (ASS) * Adobe AfterEffect (Optional) * Subtitle positioning * Complex word/letter effects, coloring, and styling * Provide new fonts as need arises * Timeliness * Motivated and fast self-learner * Imagination * Imagination * IMAGINATION
Typesetter Benefits: * Access to effects used in previous episodes * Fonts for existing typesetting provided
Successful individuals will be invited to join the group as regular staff. Keeping in line with my previous post, we do require a certain level of quality with our work. While we can provide typesetting tutorials for those interested in learning, we cannot provide one-on-one TS mentoring as we have done in the past. If our TSer had time for that, we wouldn't be hiring~! ^_~.
Samples of previous/current work in the form of scripts preferred.
To give an idea of what opportunities there are beyond the usual episode-to-episode typesetting, the following songs (at least!!) will require karaoke work. So this will be a grand opportunity to make a major contribution to the Digimon community.
Matrix Evolution Theme: One Vision (I will be a nazi on this. It's my favorite song!!) 2nd Ending: Days ~Aijou to Nichijou~ Takato's Image Song: Across the Tears Sakuya's Theme Culu! Culu! Culumon Shining Evolution Theme: Fragile Heart Hirokazu and Kenta Karaoke: Otoko Shibuki Gathering for the final battle: Starting Point

I'd like to try. Motivation isn't a problem, I want to see the Tamers episodes out. :P I like to think I'm competent at learning new functions/software, and I should definitely have a bit of extra spare-time. It's been ages since I downloaded anything of yours, and I lost the stuff I did download in a crash, but I'll download the existing subs and see if I can reproduce the effects used already.
For reference, when you say 'advanced substation alpha' is a requirement, do you mean the program itself, or does any program that supports the format work?

I don't know if you guys at WPP would even consider this, but I'd suggest just forgetting about the karaoke and actually releasing some episodes. I'm positive that most of your viewers just care about watching the show with proper and faithful translation. IMO, karaokeing insert-songs just makes clutter on the screen, subs should be less invasive than that.

Karaoke are usually not THE problem for us at the current situation, I still love doing those, and I already work on several of some shows we have, and some are even already finished.
Besides, we concider karaoke as piece of quality to provide. There are karaoke, like you described, who fill the screen, go glitter, and shine, obviously distracting.
But, personally, like slighter ones. I aim for karaoke that does not do try to blend and be the main attraction. It makes more space for some fun thingies, like my Adventure Opening, which is basically blending letters, but has the Wow's jumping at you and the on my love floating out.
I realize you mean Insert Songs tho. For me same goes there. Brave heart isn't even animated. Seven on the other hand was a too nice song to have it go by with a basic animation.
Long story short; No, removing karaoke is not going to happen.

Any program that supports it should work, preferably one that can alter it, not just read it.

I've pointed Takato in your direction. He said he would take a look this weekend.

Edit: Mhz, rapidshare is hating me again. XD Can't save a bit of it.

We are very aware of that, and I am currently trying to hunt him down, plus that was the reason I wanted to grab a copy. But since rapidshare hates my ISP it seems, I got bad cards on getting the files down of there.

And I've been hunted by Lvl 80. Anyway, took a look at it. Overall, looks okay from viewing the first part. I can't get the other two parts to extract for some reason. What method did you use to break it up? Or can you FTP the fully assembled file to Gaia-chan and let her know via private message? That'd be easiest. I couldn't skip around the first part so it's difficult to do a comprehensive analysis. Can I skip around in the fully assembled file?
Thanks, --Chuu!
PS: Wasn't aware the links came from the forum, I would've responded sooner. ;3
